Bug Description
Hi!
There is a BIG problem with Ubuntu (at least for me) that keeps comming up and was not soved in Dapper RC: the screen resolution.
I have tried to install from the live cd (Ubuntu 6.06 RC desktop-i386) but after the complete boot, the screen resolution is stuck at 640x480@60Hz. I mention that I have chosen from the boot menu (F4 VGA) the correct resolution for my monitor (1024x768 - 32 bits) and the loader kept it this way just untill the deskop wallpaper appeared. At shutdown the same strange problem: the screen resolution became the good one again...
It seems to me that the xorg.conf file doesn't memorise the user's resolution set at the boot time...
Thank you!
