Bug Description

Happens everytime now that I restore from suspend (happened on previous version of ubuntu aswell but not when I first installed)
After suspension the pc will trun on and be active but the monitors will not turn on and the pc will remain un-responsive (i know this because pressing the suspend button will not re-suspend the pc)
Will just shutdown for now. It may be my pc because I have a bit of hardware trouble A.T.M. but I think thats mainly on the HD side so I dont know if it should affect the shutdown.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from resuming properly.

Hi Shovinus,

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 466443

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I am no longer running linux as I needed to be able to use adobe for my work, and I couldn't figure out how to use wine effectively. It may however be a hardware error as I sometime run across the problem in windows 7.

JFo,

After completing a system upgrade today, the Suspend option is still broken.

After choosing the System/Shut Down/Suspend menu option, the system appears to shut down into a low power state. The color of my HP PC's power button changes from blue to yellow. So far, so good. When I reclick the power button, the color changes to blue and the OS appears to load the previous session into memory. However, there is no activity on my monitor. A Ctrl-Alt-Delete key combination will restart the PC, but that is just a workaround. Please see previous posting from me for system specs.
