Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Hi,
I have a problem with pulseaudio at the main volume.
When I change the main volume of the sound emitted in firefox for example is not impacted by change and is always 100%!
I have this problem with karmic since alpha 3 and I still with the release.
On another PC I do not have this problem ..

The settings are the default ones.

Best Regards.

MPlayer interrupted by signal 2 in module: play_audio

Last message repeated because it take two TERM signals before it terminates.

mpd is also affected - it notifies that it cannot change the main pa volume and hangs immediately after the start of playback. The problem only arose after the latest karmic update.

rhythmbox has the same problem as well - pulseaudi seems to automatically pause playback, possibly because the alsa sink isn't working.
