i am continuously being asked to disable popup blocker, when I disable I still cannot log on

websites I have previously visited, i continue to receive this message, firefox prevented this website from opening. In some cases a screen will pop up and say Allow, in other cases the screen just comes up blank after I have entered user name and password. What do I do?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

Thank you Mr. Gersten: I have been awaiting this response, because it is so difficult to not be able to pay my monthly bills online, and I just did not know what to do. Because I take online classes, and it is now mid-term exam time, I just did not want do disable something to cause me trouble. Thank you so much.
