Bug Description

On the UNR 9.10 sound is failing on the Toshiba nb200/205 netbook.
The headphone jack and speaker work fine for me, but the external speaker is not working, in 9.0.4 this problem was there too, I managed that with installing OSS4, but its kind of complex for novice users

The soundcard is Realtek ALC272 and the bug is reported here too:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/438318

It's not a nice experience when people have no sound working on their netbook..

I have this problem also with my Toshiba NB200 running Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10. I have found that sound works through my headset, but not through the NB200's internal speakers.
