Bug Description

My way to produce:
1. Make usual installation of Ubuntu Karmic from Alternate CD that was burned from daily iso at 091020.
2. Turn off Visual Effects in Gnome Appearance.
3. Install gtk2-engine-qtcurve, qtcurve, systemsettings.
4. In systemsettings choose Appearance, choose qtcurve for Widgetstyle, than in Configure.. choose Plain options.
5. In Gnome Apperance choose Clearlooks (Ясность), than Configure with qt-curve.
I had not noticed if bug had appeared after or before reboot.

For example, there is unreadable OSD notification about disconnect Auto Eth0 in the attachment.

It seems similar to the issue observed with some ATI cards (drivers in fact).

Can you try the configuration change proposed here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/notify-osd/+bug/459753/comments/5 and let us know whether that solves the issue?

Changed in notify-osd:

Yes, thank you.
This is really issue with video-driver.

I wrote the same bug with another application https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/462549.
There is my Xorg.log there.
Those bug has marked as Duplicated with https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/426582.
I wrote there my solution.
