suspends automatically when unplugged from AC power

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I have a brand new Acer aspire one D250-1148. Power management works well in WinXP. But on ubuntu NR 9.10 it automatically suspends when AC is unplugged. when I try to power on it goes back to suspend automatically....

Please advise.

add: suspend also happens automatically when plugging AC. this bug is
really annoying.

Is there sufficient information to consider this a dupe of 449882? I also have the same issue as described by mzc however I do not have the issue described by 449882.

It mat be different that's why I was advised to file as separate bug

The duplicate marker is obviously wrong. This has nothing to do with dpkg error messages.
