Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-control-
I have a notebook with intel 945 graphic adapter, internal 1024*768 screen and an external 1280*1024 LCD.
Compiz runs well in clone mode, also xinerama works when compiz is disabled.
The problem occurs with every user (also with a newly created one).
When compiz is running and I try to change from clone- to xinerama-mode using gnome-display-
If I disable desktop-effects and enabled xinerama afterwards, xinerama works. If I try to enable desktop-effects again, I receive a message box containing "Die Desktop-Effekte konnten nicht aktiviert werden.".
The problem is reproducible, so feel free to ask further questions.
