I've started gimp (from live CD) it crashed almost immediately. I was installing proprietary driver in the same time.

Hello Pedro,

I've found this bug when testing Ubuntu 9.10 RC on my laptop. I'm
downloading final version now. I'll let you know about this one as
soon as I'll have time to check it once again. Please notice that I've
ecounter the problem on live CD (not on installed system).

I think you guys do a great job making Ubuntu better and better all
the time. This system is great!

Thanks for the report Kmieciu , It has been a long time without any comment or a duplicate in this bug report and It is possible that the bug has been fixed. May you please try to reproduce it with the latest Stable Release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal and add the respective comments to the report?
