System freezes running AisleRiot Solitaire

I only see this problem running AisleRiot Solitaire on a Dell mini 9, Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy). Processor 0 Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.66 Ghz, Processor 1 Intel Atom CPU N270 @ 1.66 Ghz. Kernel Linux 2.6.24-24-lpia, Gnome 2.22.3.
None of the Questions above seem similar. The system locks and I have not been able to unlock it. The screen goes blank and the porwe light stays on but the only button that works is the power on/off button. This problem is pretty repeatable but there is no fixed time interval or place in the game where it occurs.

Can you try to reproduce this issue in latest Ubuntu version (would be great if you try with Karmic)?

I am anything but a Linux expert and not at all sure what you are talking about where I think you are telling me how to get the new game version. All I can say is I'll try.

@mncwilliams, I mean if you can download a copy of Ubuntu Karmic RC or upgrade your system to a newer version, and then try to reproduce your issue.

whatever the software is doing a system freeze is the fault of what is hanging which is likely xorg or the video driver there

Got the same problem. Playing an hour the system hangs. Using 9.10, also on a Dell Inspirion 1525. Can i send someone logfiles?

One of my clients reports a similar problem with Ubuntu 9.10 running on a Clevo M76T laptop.

I just started getting this problem on my old Dell dimension with ubuntu 8 (updated). It might be a hardware problem because facebook is having trouble too. Sometimes it just decides to reboot. I looked in various log files and they have tons of spew. Is there anything meaningful I should look for?
