In Firefox, backspace does not move back a page

In all other browsers (and in Firefox on other platforms), the backspace key moves to the last page in history. This causes confusion/frustration to new users and on new installs. It's really a one-byte change in about:config ( browser.backspace_action = 0 ).

This is actually a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/60995 reported in 2006, but it's marked wontfix there (see comments for long and not at all convincing reasons for this decision). The very definition of a papercut, isn't it?
