Bug Description

My laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T21 currently running the Dapper Beta. Hardware info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SeanHammond?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=taptaplshw.htm

The info about my DVD-ROM shown in the disks-admin dialog includes:

-------------------------------------------
MATSHITADVD-ROM SR-8175
/dev/hdc

Type: CD-ROM
Device: /dev/hdc
Speed: Not Available
Status: Audio Disc Inserted
---------------------------------------

The device name /dev/hdc is mentioned twice in the one dialogue which seems unnecessary.

Rejecting this for the moment (please re-open it if required); I'm trying to think if there will be a case when the two strings maybe different, but I don't know about enough about how the information the dialogue is displaying might be indexed.

It might be best to move this upstream and see what the response is there; we're currently in user-interface freeze and this is a minor issue (it would be more important if information was being missing out, rather than duplicated).

Changed in system-tools-backends:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected
