Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions:
1. Is this reproducible?
2. If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? Be as detailed as possible.
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

This is what I see from the terminal that does not close

bob@ocat624:~$ ubuntu-bug gnome-terminal
bob@ocat624:~$ exit
exit
Shell exited. Another one is launching...

bob@ocat624:~$

it says that the ctrl w will close <no> it says that left click will <no>
when top is entered it just shows user and root
when log out and log back in the terminal is still running
is there a different way to end this terminal???????

It's not a bug in the gnome-terminal but (maybe) in the plug-in called Terminal in Cairo-Dock

Hello Daily.
Thanks to have reported this bug but I think it's not a bug. If I understand well what you say you just want to quit the new terminal displayed with a click on 'Terminal' plug-in's icon of Cairo-Dock? If it's what you want, make a middle click on the Terminal's icon (for other shortcuts, simply let your mouse on the icon of any plug-ins in the config panel).
On the other hand I don't have this bug (the 'exit' command works well) but yes, there is this message when you reopen this terminal "Shell exited. Another one is launching.."

I tried as you say I tried following the directions and nada(nothing) and what was even wierd after login out it was still there maybe the if it is working then The directions to close should be from config which I didn't see
ohh well I will use the regular terminal that seems fine
and yes this was the plugin for cairo not the gnome terminal I tried to state that
Thank you for you assistance
some of the bugs could be sped up if the package was bit more clear-wishlist

Ok this 'Terminal' plug-ins was sidelined lately... But I don't see any bug. Maybe can you launch cairo-dock from a terminal in order to have more details when you click on the icon ?

It's certainly a good idea but can you explain a bit more about what you think? The Help module isn't so clear? Or the organisation of the menu? Is it better to have a new entry with all shortcuts in the menu of the applet? Or simply rename the 'About' entry?
Everybody can give us some ideas and propositions in order to have a better application ;)

typing "exit" closes the current tab.
if this is the last tab, it hides the dialog.
with Cairo-Dock 2.1.1 and probably 2.1.0
but in desklet mode the desklet reappear.
this is maybe the original bug ? will be fixed in 1 minute then ^_^
