Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntuone-client

The ubuntu one client will connect if I click on connect at the top right of the nautilus window. If I add files then I get a notification that there is a sync in progress and the ubuntu one icon appears in the notification area.

However, nothing syncs. The files in the Ubuntu One folder do not sync with the website and the files on the website will not sync with the client.

Affects me too. I tried a lot of things to fix this. I also tried to cancel my subscription and a new sign-in, but there is this Bug that u1 does not delete any file, if the account gets canceld.
Things to mention:
1.) If i delete a File on my PC, the File is still in the Web Interface.
2.) If i delete this File on all my U1 PCs, the File is still there.
3.) u1-syncdamon reports that anything is in sync, even after u1-sdtool --refresh-shares
4.) if i add a file to the ubuntu-one folder syncdaemon starts to work, and reports that anything is in sync again. The File does not show up in the Webinterface, neighter on my 2nd PC. Instead he renamed my old Books folder to Books.u1confilct, the Files in this Folder haven't been touched. In fact this Folder has not been changed for a while.

I get this problem too, with exactly the same problems as mentioned above. If there is anything I can try or you would like me to do, I will be happy to oblige.

Try running Update Manager and update the Ubuntu One client to the latest version (currently 1.0.2-0ubuntu2). You will need to restart the client software or log-out/in again for the update to take effect.

I am seeing the same thing with 1.0.2. How do I attach an apport report? I accidentally reported a problem on bug 464716.

If people are seeing similar errors as the one reported by Simon, I think it's likely related to bug 455544 which has a workaround noted in the description.

@marty1787, please could you upgrade your ubuntuone-client version to latest included in Karmic and check if this issue is still affecting you? Thanks in advance.

@Kamus, My fully updated karmic still does not sync correctly, but my Lucid does, so I'm not bothered by it atm.
