Bug Description

Binary package hint: akregator

In the taskbar when I move the mouse over superkaramba with one theme opened it says "_n : 1 thème démarré", it should only say "1 thème demarré"
If two themes are opened then it is correct "2 thèmes démarré"

When I do the same with akregator it says "_n : 1 article non lu" even though
all articles are read. If one article is not read it says the same and if more than one article is not read then it says the correct sentence "3 articles non lus" for exemple.

well looks like amarok was fixed today.

Still the same problem with superkaramba though.

I talked too fast, I thought it was fixed but that's only because I restarted akregator and didn't get any message. But once I have some messages and read them all then it shows this "_n : 1 article non lu"

Changed in akregator:
assignee: nobody → ubuntu-l10n-fr

I've verified the translations included in language-pack-kde-fr-base-6.06+20060511 and it looks like it's fixed. What version is installed on your system?

This bug seems to affect all programs in the taskbar, even adept when there's only one update, it also shows this "_n : 1 mise a jour"

(is there no way to edit a message ?, in the above post I wrote amarok instead of akregator)

In fact it can affect all the KDE programs. This is a mistake in the traduction. The link about this problem of translation : http://l10n.kde.org/docs/translation-howto/gui-peculiarities.html
_n: MUST NOT be translated (as other special strings)

I've just checked all the akregator's po. There was still a mistake :
_n : Akregator - 1 article non lu
It concerns string #346 -> fixed.

I've just checked all the superkaramba's po. There was still a mistake :
_n : 1 thème démarré :
It concerns string #17 -> fixed

I've changed all the strings in amarok one or two week-(s) ago I think, it must now be OK.

Thanks for your bug report.
Other KDE packages may still encounter this problem, feel free to report it.

There are too many POs in the kdepim package.
Since we don't have a tool in order to find a special string in a package I change the status for kdepim in Fix released.

Open a new bug if you find another mistake.

Thanks a lot for the fix

I just read you fixed it for akregator and superkaramba, but did you also fixed it for adept ?

Sorry for my first comment I had used a far too restrictive regexp... I've just gone through the whole language-pack-kde-fr-base package and removed all the KDE special markers I've found from the translations.

@Benoit: you should use FixReleased status only when the fix actually reached the archive ;)

I do have one too in Korganizer, when selecting one event :

_n: 1 catégorie

I tried to look but it's hard to know exactly in which package it is (and it's visibly _not_ in korganizer)

It's in libkcal.po and I've already fixed that one in Rosetta.

I haven't find it too but J. Corbier seems to have uploaded all the PO files with the correct translations for all KDE packages.

(Other mistake in korganizer : #317 -> fixed)

I think I've removed all the "_n:" stuff from the translations. Let's wait for the daily langpack build and we'll be able to check if it's really OK.

thanks a lot for the fix, the bug was bothering me : )

Unfortunately I still have a bug in akregator :
once I start it, the mouse over the program in the taskbar shows me the correct sentence "Akregator - Lecteur de flux RSS" but once I get a new message and that I read it I still get a "Akregator - 1 article non lu". Even if I use the button "marquer les flux comme lus" it still shows this "Akregator - 1 article non lu". I have to quit and restart akregator in order to get back the "Akregator - Lecteur de flux RSS".

Is it a translation issue ?
I don't think so, I've just checked the strings you quote.
It would be better to open a new bug.
