Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Ubuntu Karmic Beta, up to date
Compiz 0.8.3

Some types of windows do not properly fade out, they seem to offset upwards and to the left about 10 pixels during the fade-out animation.

So window is in (x,y) position, i close it and as soon as the fade starts it pops into (x-10,y-10) position on screen. This only happens during the fade out animation.

This is most easily recreatable in Update Manager during the "Check for updates" sequence.

I ran "xprop" and the window type affected seems to be Dialog type. Other windows, such as Normal and Tooltip, are not affected.

This occurs with default, "Normal"-type Desktop Effects settings. Filing under compiz because the problem disappears when using Metacity.
