Bug Description
Binary package hint: mplayer
With default settings, on default Karmic installation, with compiz enabled mplayer can freeze whole system, crash itself or compiz when user toggles movie to full screen.
Some output from mplayer:
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_output_
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_presentatio
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_video_
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_presentatio
it just loops itself. No difference between HD and normal content.
When you add
vc=ffmpeg12vdpa
to ~/.mplayer/config playback works but not at full speed, also new errors are displayed in terminal:
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_presentatio
[vdpau] Error when calling vdp_presentatio
Everything works fine once compiz is disabled.
