Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Flash audio doesn't work in FireFox 3.5. It doesn't work in Chromium, either. Audio works throughout the rest of the system. I just upgraded to 9.10 beta and this used to work.

I'd be happy to test this in Firefox 3.0, but if I try to launch it via menu or shell I get Firefox 3.5.3.

If I quit Firefox 3.5 and start Firefox 3.0, I can watch videos in Flash with audio.

I confirm this bug.

All other audio apps work fine: amarok. kaffeine and all other. But flash is mute.
If i right-click on it - i can see that audio is enabled.

firefox 3.5
2.6.31-14-generic - dev.
using HDA-Nvidia (ALC660VD Analog), not PulseAudio

Per another bug, I loaded "pavucontrol" and was unable to un-mute Firefox.

IMO, Firefox shouldn't default to mute.

What I meant:

Sorry for the confusion.
