X.Org restarts and input devices become unusable when DBus is restarted

Bug Description

Always reproducible here. Karmic Beta, clean installation, more or less vanilla. To reproduce, open a gnome-terminal and run
$ sudo /etc/init.d/dbus restart

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn` and `dmesg`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you're using a custom /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

Sorry for the loooong delay in answering. For the sake of convenience, I triggered this in a virtual machine rather than on my physical hardware (no time for extra reboots :) )

Unless I am much mistaken, X.Org on Lucid doesn't use hal.
