The overall summary of the fix is to move the code handling the "ubuntu1" addition to a more appropriate block, and to conditionalize it on $opt_i.

Well, oops. It turns out this bug doesn't actually reproduce any more in lucid's debchange even without my branch.

I'll go back to my branch and determine if it fixes any other oddities related to over-aggressive ubuntu patching.
