Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-installer
Using daily build ISO: 03-Oct-2009 10:32
Steps to reproduce:
- Boot server install CD in machine with hard drive
- Go through prompts for keyboard and network
- Choose Manual for Partitioning method
- Choose Configure iSCSI volumes
- Choose Log into iSCSI targets
- Enter the IP of your test portal
Expected result:
- List of targets on the given portal
Result:
- Red screen stating "No iSCSI targets discovered on 172.31.3.23:3260."
Workaround:
- Go to tty2
- issue command "iscsi-start"
- Returned to tty1
- press Continue
- use same IP address still in entry field and hit Continue
- List of targets was presented at this time. Selected the target I am using for testing and hit Continue.
- Choose Finish
Upon return to the partitoner, only the local hard drive is shown. No rescan for new drives was performed. To force:
- Choose Go Back
- Choose Partition Disks to return to the partitioner
At this time the iSCSI drive is shown and can be used.
