Bug Description
Binary package hint: brasero
After copying an Audio CD via Brasero, the new CD copy does not work. It tries to read for well over a minute, then gives up. No icon appears in GNOME, no mount point appears at all, etc. However, the original CD does function.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Copy an Audio CD via Brasero: insert audio CD in drive, tell Brasero to use the same drive for the blank CD... and follow the instructions.
2. Use the 'eject' command at a terminal, because the eject button at the front of the CD-ROM drive does not work (for this, see bug 395814).
3. Reload the same CD in the drive.
dmesg output for when the CD is reloaded (step 3) is attached. I didn't save the Brasero log for step 1.
* * I have no more blank CDs to test this on, nor do I have any more CD-RWs. Therefore, I have no choice but to pass the baton for confirming and investigating this bug to someone else. * *

Architecture: amd64
Date: Sat Oct 3 07:09:35 2009
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10
Package: brasero 2.28.0-0ubuntu1
ProcEnviron:
LANG=en_CA.UTF-8
SHELL=/bin/bash
ProcVersionSign
SourcePackage: brasero

FYI: I was unable to reproduce this in Ubuntu 8.10 (Brasero version 0.8.2-0ubuntu1). The disc copy worked as expected, including automatically ejecting the disc. The resulting copy played fine.
