Binary package hint: xorg

Since my last update (today morning) I have serious performance problems with Xorg and it uses 100% of the cpu.

The bad performance is caused by lack of direct rendering:
(EE) intel(0): [drm] Failed to open DRM device for : No such file or directory
(EE) intel(0): Failed to become DRM master.

Does this command show the drm module loaded?:
lsmod | grep drm

If it doesn't return anything, what happens when you try to load the drm module manually?:
sudo modprobe -v drm

When I restart the whole system 2 or 3 times I get the normal condition back and the performance and cpu issue is gone.

I tried lsmod and modprobe in both situations (performance is horribly bad as I am wirting...)

both results in

thomas@thomas-desktop:~$ lsmod | grep drm
drm 159584 1 i915
agpgart 34988 3 intel_agp,drm

modprobe does nothing.

The system is a notebook with an onboard intel graphics card.
