The keyboard of my MSI M620 Notebook goes randomly dead. If so, I had to touch continously the touchpad to use the keyboard. On Windows there is no problem.

same on my acer travelmate 3210. I somehow have the feeling that it has something to do with my touchpad. when I read your bug report I tested. tap the touchpad and my keyboard stopped responding. then I tapped it again the keyboard started responding again.

test if it still occurs on Lucid?

Same on Lucid 10.4 Live-CD, sorry. There is no chance to use my value-laptop with linux, because evry newer linux, openSuSE, fedora, Mandriva..all the same bug exept XP or Win7, the keyboard is ok.
