Hi gnacho,

I'm sorry to hear that Ubuntu One isn't functioning properly for you. In order to figure out what the root cause of this bug is, can you attach the following file to this bug? ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log Also, if you have any files with "exception" in the name within the ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log folder, please attach those as well.

Note that attaching syncdaemon.log will show filenames you are attempting to sync with Ubuntu One. If you do not want this to be public, please mark the bug as private and this bug report will only be available to you and the Ubuntu One team.

Thank you for all your help in making Ubuntu One better!

Joshua

Hi Joshua,

Thanks for ur reply. I can't attach the file you asked me, cause it's about
153 MB file.

Anyway, no worries. I uninstalled Ubuntu One, and my computer works fine
again. I'm waiting for the beta of Ubuntu 9.10 (tomorrow, right?) to format
the computer and try it again. I'm pretty sure it will work properly.

Thanks again.

Hi Nacho,

Sorry it didn't work out for you and that the log file was so large (we're working on fixing that.) Yes, Karmic beta will be out very soon here. If you have any problems there, please don't hesitate to file a bug and we'll do our best to get to the bottom of the problem.

Thank you,

Joshua

Thanks again Joshua,

I can't believe the great support you are giving to the product.

I'm sure with the next Ubuntu 9.10 it will work fine, but if there's any
problem, I will let you know.

You are doing great!! Keep doing.

Cheers,

    Nacho.

I still have the same problem. Can't make Ubuntu One run. After having
formatted the computer still can't make it work.

I'll try creating a new user (because some of my configuration files are
still the same) and let you know.

Anyway, working fine with Dropbox meanwhile.

Thanks a lot. I will keep you informed.

Hi Joshua,

Sorry for sending you so many mails.

Ubuntu One just worked until first reboot. Now it crashes again like before.

I created a new user, with clean configuration. I don't know what else I can
do.

Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Nacho,

Can you see if you have any files with "exception" in the name from this directory: ~/.cache/ubuntuone/log and attach them to this bug. If your syncdaemon.log is still very large, you can delete it, restart Ubuntu One and then attach the syncdaemon.log. Without more log info, we're not going to be able to figure out what is causing the crashing. I apologize the initial logs didn't turn anything up. I'm hoping some new logs will tell us a bit more.

Thank you,

Joshua

I attach all the files I found.

Ubuntu One crashes many times in my computer, sometimes it works fine, and
mostly works, but take all my cpu (core 2 t7100) and about 100 MB of memory.

Thanks,

   Nacho.
