Bug Description

Binary package hint: auctex

I recently switched from the emacs-snapshot to emacs23 package and auctex is not configured to accept it (requiring one of {emacs21, emacs22, emacs-snapshot}). It's not entirely clear how the versions of snapshot and 23 packages compare, but I expected that 23 would fall between 22 and snapshot, and be a valid emacsen for auctex.

I agree, it would be easier for me me if the auctex package depended on "emacs (>= 21) | emacs-snapshot"
