The reported issue seems to be resolved. You can grab and use these rpm's from koji.

Beware though, the gadgets will work only with the ggl-qt or ggl-gtk frontends. They won't work through plasma, as kdebase-workspace needs to be rebuilt against this version of google-gadgets.

Michel, when do you think you can do this update on Fedora?

Using the 0.11.0 Koji build, I get the below output when trying to start ggl-gtk on an up-to-date F11 x86_64. It looks like this is already fixed upstream, in trunk:

http://code.google.com/p/google-gadgets-for-linux/issues/detail?id=311

ggl-qt presents two of the gadget widgets, but here's what I get with ggl-gtk:

I'm building a patched 0.11.0 release (the released version has the bug mentioned above). kdebase-workspace is being rebuilt against it for Rawhide.

For F-11, updates to google-gadgets and kdebase-workspace will be pushed to testing as soon as gg is added to the buildroot overrides so I can rebuild kdebase-workspace.

patch for ggl-gtk crash

The program 'ggl-gtk' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 299 error_code 5 request_code 19 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
