Bug Description

On a Lenovo T400 and T410 with an integrated flash card reader, whenever an SD card is mounted, suspend does not work. The laptop starts going into suspend mode but stops with a black screen with a blinking cursor. Also the suspend indicator LED continues to blink (when suspend the LED stays on).

(Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop, 64bit, fully updated, Ubuntu 10.04 Desktop 64 bit)

This seems to be happening on my T400 running karmic (9.10 beta) also.

This also happens to me on my Lenovo X60 with 9.10. Having an SD card mounted results in a failure to suspend: suspend begins, but halts with the screen black but still backlit and suspend indicator blinking, and will not resume.

I also have an Lenovo X60 with 9.10 and it fails to suspend with the SD Card mounted. The unit has to be powered down by holding down the power button on the laptop.

Do you guys have same internal SD-card reader as I do?

SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 21)

Use following command to find out yours: "lspci -v > pci.txt" or "lsusb -v > usb.txt"

Yes, that's exactly the one.

yes, this bug exists in Lucid using kernel 2.6.32rc8. and in my case Ubuntu is installed on the SD card so the workaround mentioned here won't help me.
