empathy (msn) status will say I'm "hidden" even if i change it

i can not get empathy to change its status using msn threw empathy, even if i change the status to available it will just stay hidden, i am running Ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala daily alternative, and empathy 2.27.92,, my computer is a acer aspire one netbook

Same problem here. All other protocols (ICQ and GTalk) reflect my status choice, MSN stays hidden.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

Why wasn't telepathy-butterfly 0.5.1 introduced in karmic? it's been some time since it's been released, it should've been introduced when papyon 0.4.2 was introduced.

My problem is that empathy keeps connecting and never gets to connect to the msn network, I have the same library the 5.0.0 ubuntu3. I'm waiting for an update.

This seems to be occurring again in a default desktop installation of Ubuntu 10.4. MSN status, once offline, cannot be changed.
