Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz crash. ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 using RADEON xorg driver.

Compiz starts from command line:

~$ compiz
Checking for Xgl: not present.
xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log

but when enabling desktop effects from the System -> Preferences -> Appearence -> Visua Effects, it starts searching for drivers, starts compiz for few seconds, and then reverts back with "Desktop effects could not be enabled" dialog.

For some reason can not reproduce anymore, after running compiz manually and playing around with the visual effects options. Weird, possibly some inconsistent stage with the configuration which has now sorted out.
