Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

When I select slideshow the screen becomes gray. To return to desktop one solution is to select f-spot app with alt-tab and then close it.

From .xsession-errors I can see:
(f-spot:3504): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: GdkPixbufLoader finalized without calling gdk_pixbuf_loader_close() - this is not allowed. You must explicitly end the data stream to the loader before dropping the last reference.
[Info 23:06:54.927] Inhibit screensaver for slideshow
Mesa 7.4 implementation error: bad wrapMode in clamp_rect_coord_linear
Please report at bugzilla.freedesktop.org

Tested with Jaunty on VirtualBox (either with 3d enabled or not) and f-spot version 0.5.0.3

Hi marco-pallotta,

Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

I was wrong: X doesn't hang up when slideshow is launched (alt-tab runs ok when the issue happens and I have also found a way to open gnome menu and so also a console), but it shows a grey screen with a blank rectangle on the left-top. Pratically when I launch slideshow the selected photo is not displayed at full-screen but it's displayed on the left-top of the screen and then it changes to black and the rest of the screen become grey.

I will change the title and the description of the issue.

summary: - X hangs up when slideshow is selected

I make another precisation after other tests: not always the photo selected changes to black.
