Missing close buttons and other options from windows

Bug Description

Upon updating today my Kubuntu Karmic netbook build today on my Mini 9 I don't have the top minimize, maximize, close icons on any of the windows, whether in an application like Amarok or Konqueror or configuring settings for a plasmoid.

This by design to maximize the vertical space available for applications. If you move your cursor to the top of the screen when you have a application in focus there should be an X to close the application on the panel.

This is part of the Netbook window decoration. You can switch back to Oxygen for window decoration if you prefer something more traditional.

when i have amarok or the konsole or some other application maximized and move to the top of the page, the plasma-netbook takes over and doesn't give me the close, etc.

scott,

still unable to take a snapshot, problems with KSnapShot it only takes a small portion of the screen. when i hover over the top of the window in focus the only X that is available is through is through the search box. dont know what is supposed to work

any ideas?

This is still a design feature in the Netbook windeco, so the bug is still invalid as described. I think your issue is covered by the other bug.

Related to this we had to give up on making the Netbook windeco work with
KDE 4.3, so you should go back to Oxygen windeco on your next update.
