Bug Description

Pptp is type of VPN. As noted at
  http://plebs.com.au/?p=797
the lack of pptp in the default install leads to a catch-22. The user needs to connect to the VPN before they can apt-get the pptp packages, but they also have to download the pptp packages before they can connect the the VPN. As I commented on the blog there are a couple of ways around this, never-the-less it would be much more convenient if these packages were included in the default install. Would it be possible to do this?

Currently there is no mention of pptp at:
  http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/karmic-desktop-amd64.manifest

Removed ubuntu-unr tag since this bug does not appear to be specific to UNR. If you know of some reason why it would be specific to UNR, please feel free to add the tag back in and explain why. Thanks!

Fail, I think. There is nothing worse than Ubuntu`s (yes, yes! "The most user-friendly distribution in the world", "Linux for human beings" haha) bugtracker.
It is a BIG problem for Eastern Europe, for example - as already noticed, to connect to internet user must download 2 files from it. And really, it is a HUGE problem for all people that have PPTP internet connection.
