Bug Description
The battery monitor applet's "brightness" controller successfully changed the brightness for the Samsung NC10 in 9.04. In 9.10 this functionality has been lost (reverting to the bad old days of 8.10). Can we have the old applet back please?

Is this still reproducible with a newer release of KDE, preferably Karmic and KDE 4.3.1? I don't have the NC10, but all of my machines work correctly using the battery monitory for screen brightness. Thanks!
