weather applet displays wrong map

The weather map being shown for Manila, Philippines location was wrong. Instead, the Central Asia was the one
being fetched and displayed where you could not locate the Philippines archipelago at all since it is already outside of that map.

Based on the weather.py source code, the Weather.com URL for the weather map download for Manila, Philippines would default to Central Asia weather map. This could be simulated on the web browser using the following URL + the Manila, Philippines location code = RPXX0017

On the Weather.com web site you need to select the appropriate map = Asia (not Central Asia) for Manila, Philippines.

I did also tried changing the location setting for other Asian countries (e.g. Hong Kong, China or Osaka, Japan) and the map being shown were also wrong.

There is another or similar report regarding this problem (bug #240774) for the weather applet but it was left un-resolve.

Is it possible to provide some override setting on the preference menu for user to enter the direct URL map download instead?

Or maybe create a drop down menu similar to the Weather.com web page if the country selected is in Asia.

Another option is to use CNN website instead of Weather.com since they also provide a good forecast and map. Or maybe just for the CNN weather map.
