weather applet shows wrong weather map

the weather for israel shows the arebian sea (persian gulf and west india) instead of israel which does not appear on that map

Thanks for filing a bug against the weather applet. Since this bug is applet-specific, it needs to go into the awn-extras bug tracker. The Awn bug tracker is for bugs that affect the dock itself, or all applets.

I'm inclined to say that we can't really do anything about this bug, since the data comes from weather.com. Anyone else have an opinion?

Well, I recently made a change to fix bug #239060, so I am wondering if that somehow introduced it. The trick with that is, the patch was needed because weather.com changed how the maps are displayed a bit, so if it did work before, it would be hard to know which change did it.

Anyway, kulight, could you let us know a) if it worked before in a previous version as expected b) if using weather.com directly gives you the expected result.

it use to work just fine before then it stoped showing the map completely and now it shows the wrong map

Thanks for getting back to us kulight with part 'a' of my question, but I still need part 'b', which is, does using weather.com directly give you the map you expect? And if so, are you sure you are giving the weather applet to same location as you are weather.com? This will help us figure out if the problem is with weather.com or awn-extras. Thanks!

i've checked weather.com and it shows the wrong map also so i guess the bug is with them
any way i sent them an e-mail about that i hope they answer
i'll update if there will be any change
