package linux-image-2.6.28-15-generic 2.6.28-15.49 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1

Installed 9.0.4 Jaunty on an older P4 PC.
When install completed, I ran Update Manager to update the system.
While running it crashed. Had a problem with Video. I was on KVM switch
for install. Took off KVM and directly connected Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse.

Ran Update Manager again, and it said to run sudo dpkg --configure -a.
I did that, and ran check in Update Manger and it completed except for
the failure reported here.
