Binary package hint: ffmpeg
Tried to convert stuff to mp3 in karmic using ffmpeg but failed miserably. Then tried to install libavcodec-

Yes, the current version of ffmeg is 0.5+svn20090706 -1ubuntu1, but the current version of libavcodec- unstripped- 52 is 4:0.5+svn200906 09-2+unstripped 2. It appears that the unstripped libraries were not built in this last build.
