Bug Description

Binary package hint: gfire

As reported on the front page of the Gfire website, the latest Xfire protocol version has caused Gfire to break. Gfire SVN reportedly fixes the problem, and a new release is being worked on.

I made package gfire 0.9.0 from svn on my-ppa. You can download .deb file or add repositories to your system. Please test it.

Your package works, thanks for the quick response. The version should probably be 0.8.2+svn.. though, as 0.9.0 has not yet been released.

It built fine on my-ppa. On my-ppa version has date, I changed only version to call revision's number.

There is a new upstream version 0.8.3 that addresses this issue. I have a debdiff ready if you want me to post it, otherwise you can roll a new build out if you desire. You don't need to add a build dependency on gtk or glib however; pidgin-dev pulls those packages in.

Hmm.. it doesn't appear that Artur is following this bug. Here's my debdiff anyway, as I would like to see this get fixed. It's a normal upgrade from 0.8.2 to 0.8.3.
