Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Ok, I know the documentation is produced by volunteers, but surely we could have saved them a bit of effort here and there? There's a long screed about "Samba and LDAP" (https:/
What I'm actually interested in is interoperability between Windows and Ubuntu machines. That doesn't seem to be covered by the online documentation. I don;t have the expertise to correct it, unfortunetely.

Hello,
Thank you for reporting this bug, and helping make Ubuntu better. The Samba and LDAP section is a somewhat more advanced configuration for Samba using LDAP to store user and machine account information. More information about Samba can be found in the Windows Networking section linked in the Samba and LDAP section:
https:/ /help.ubuntu. com/9.04/ serverguide/ C/windows- networking. html
The link to the more extensive Windows Networking section should probably be at the beginning of the Samba and LDAP section.
Thanks again,
Adam
