Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Although the summary is brief it is a fairly good summary.

By deleting a track from within rhythmbox, specifically when viewing the Music tab on the left and viewing all items, the file is removed (sent to Deleted Items) however it then flags the Missing Files item on the left as well indicating that the file is no longer present.

It should probably remove it from the library, stop monitoring it and then move the file.

More information:
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

rhythmbox:
  Installed: 0.12.0-0ubuntu4
  Candidate: 0.12.0-0ubuntu4
  Version table:
 *** 0.12.0-0ubuntu4 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What you expected to happen - file deleted, no further information required.
What happened instead - file deleted, warning appears on the left under Missing Files that can scare the living hell out of someone like my nan. I didnt even realise i had to click Remove until i'd restarted rhythmbox!

Please see attached.

Action taken was:
1. Restore a deleted MP3 to the ~/Music directory (a stephen fry podcast).
2. Start rhythmbox and allow the software to pick up the addition.
3. Delete the aforementioned file (again)
4. Observe that the same thing as stated in original bug report happens.
5. Remove file from Missing Files
6. Close rhythmbox

Hope it helps, feel free to strip out my list of MP3s/personal information
should it be redundant in remedying the bug.
