Bug Description

Binary package hint: mobile-broadband-provider-info

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04. The version of the mobile-broadband-provider-info package seems to be: 20090309-0ubuntu1.

I can connect successfully with ONO. But I have to setup the connection manually.
I did it by creating a connection for Jazztel (which is not using username nor password) and changing the apn to: internet.ono.com

I also copied the dns addresses (62.42.230.24, 62.42.63.52) from here: http://bandaancha.eu/analizador-dns

That's all I needed to do to get it working.

This is the first bug I report. So I don't know if I have to add any other info. I think it should be enough with this, but just in case I checked the repositories and it seems that provider info is defined in an xml file and that the entry for ONO should look more or less like this:
 <provider>

  <name>ONO</name>

  <gsm>

   <apn>internet.ono.com</apn>

  </gsm>

  <dns>62.42.230.24</dns>

  <dns>62.42.63.52</dns>

 </provider>

I forgot to mention that ONO is a very important internet provider in spain and it recently started offering mobile access with very cheap offers. So I really think it's very interesting to have it available out of the box.

Thanks for the info.

I think the provider was added in lucid, but the dns was still missing and
it was not possible to connect since it looks like they have to be entered
manually.
I will check how it goes when I upgrade my computer with the maverick
release.

I've been on holidays last week, that's why I didn't answered till now.
Regards.
