Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Importing accounts from pidgin only imported the accounts that were currently active in pidgin, but not the ones that were in the account manager but disabled.

empathy needs to import all pidgin accounts, and set them to enabled or disabled accordingly.

Which exactly accounts aren't imported? There is a new version of MSN plugin in Empathy and I think you can't import it( you need to create it from Empathy again).

i am running ubuntu 9.04.

Empathy imported my MSN account just fine.

Would screen captures or something similar help?

I can't get to it tonight, as I have work in the morning. but If you ask for
some screen caps I'll walk through the import process again.

Forget what I said about MSN plugin, I thought you were running Ubuntu 9.10

I have gmail and hotmail account and I couldn't confirm your issue. Could you list all accounts that were active and disabled in pidgin?

Well, I'm at work at the moment, but I recall clearly the following:

I have 4 accounts set up in pidgin. (For the sake of anti spam, I'm going to
simply number them)

2 AIM accounts: #1, #2
1 MSN account, #3,
and an irc.freenode.net account #4

#1 and #3 are my currently enabled accounts
#2 and #4 are configured, but disabled in pidgin.

When importing accounts in empathy, It lists all 4, and I ensure that the
checkbox is clicked for each of the four, but only #1, and #3.
Even if i click import a second time, and explicitly select the ones that
weren't imported before, it still doesn't import them..
