Bug Description
People often complain that Launchpad does not let them delete their account (see eg http://
Through the fix for bug 2773 you can deactivate your account, but empirically many users do not find this satisfactory: it looks like Launchpad is kinda reluctantly half complying with their request.
One step to improve this would be: if the user closes their account, their real name should no longer appear in Launchpad. (Obviously this means in structured data; if someone says "Natalie Portman" in a comment we can't be expected to blank it out.) Three main changes:
* in bug discussions and similar contexts the comment header should say [Deleted account], not the person's name
* on the remnant person page it should just say "This person no longer uses Launchpad", not "Amartya Sen no longer uses Launchpad"
* the action should be "Delete my account" not "Disable my account"

Fixing bug 283830 might address many of the complaints, in a way that is less mysterious to later readers of bug reports etc.
