Bug Description

Hello, I'm new to Linux Mint, but I'm greatly enjoying learning and using it. I look forward to learning more about it as well.

My computer will randomly go black and shoot me back to the log-in/password screens and I will have to restart anything I was working on. There doesn't seem to be any particular trigger.

When I check the log, I find this:
Jul 11 22:16:21 alibi-laptop kernel: [14260.350050] Xorg[2694]: segfault at 20 ip b686e20a sp bfd46b30 error 4 in nvidia_drv.so[b6538000+3b4000]
Jul 11 22:16:21 alibi-laptop bonobo-activation-server (alibi-9689): could not associate with desktop session: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-rx1B5qlecR: Connection refused

But I have found that others on another forum have been having the same problem
Here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bonobo/+bug/293970

A good friend of mine suggested I post this here, hoping someone can help me come up with a workaround. (I'm a newbie, but I can follow directions.
