Bug Description

I'm creating a mockup for a UI. I have maybe 20 different pngs produced in Gimp of UI elements. I'd like to be able to go to file > import in inkscape and shift+select all 20 files and import them at once. The Inkscape file > import dialog allows me to shift+select multiple files at once, but it only imports one file at a time, seemingly in a random fashion. (It shouldn't allow me to multiple select files to import if it only imports one at-a-time at the very least as it's misleading.)

It would be very useful to be able to import more than one file at a time. Please have pity on me, importing these 20 images one-at-a-time into the same file is going to suck. :(

Confirmed.
As a workaround, you can drag and drop more than one file at once from the folder to the canvas.

The drag&drop workaround does not quite cut it on MacOS (w/ X11), because the Aqua->X11 dropping does not work (a fundamental problem?).
