I am working on this issue this morning but have run into a problem with the karl.peopledir static resources. When I go to /static_peopledir/opensearch.xml, for example, on a checkout of trunk, I get a 404 error that /_peopledir/opensearch.xml does not exist.

As a result, it looks like I need to upgrade the static file handling in karl.peopledir to the new scheme. Since I'm still tracing through the code, I can't provide an estimate of how long this will take.

This task will likely bump to the next milestone as we have off site meetings this afternoon.
