Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
Xorg memory consumption grows continuously with firefox usage. However, after closing firefox xorg consumption is not decreased. A new firefox instance will grow xorg memory usage further. Closing it again does not reduce xorg memory usage. Eventually all free memory is used and it will start to swap.
The setup that shows this behavior has dual monitors and is using the fglrx driver. My other setup does not have this issue with similar usage but only 1 monitor.
Current usage is
