binutils on armel fails to build due to regression test failure on 64 Bytes alignment test for gas/arm/arm.exp

i am not sure how related this is to #385501, seems the testsuite was completely rewritten between 2.19.51.20090622 and 2.19.51.20090704 though ...

apparently the gas testsuite was rewritten between .20090622 and 20090704.
building with gcc-4.4 makes the gas/arm/arm.exp test fail in the 64 Bytes
alignment test.

looking at the debian PTS the same version of binutils seems to build fine there with the default gcc-4.3

the Debian package doesn't have this patch.

Sorry, this issue is specific to Ubuntu as we added a patch to change the
default alignment to 64 bits. I tried building tip, it builds at least up to
gas and passes the gas testsuite; with the patch applied the test suite fails as
follows:
