Bug Description

Binary package hint: specto

The Ubuntu packages for Specto should be updated to the new 0.3.1 version; the 0.2.x series is very outdated and buggy, and does not behave well with notify-osd (introduced in Ubuntu 9.04).

I think it's not too late for Ubuntu 9.10 right?

The package is still wrongly patched with to its license, as reported in bug #390240.

Jean-François, this bug was about updating Specto to 0.3.1. Not about the license issue. This is discussed in bug #390240.
Please don't change bug statuses unjustified.

I'm assuming Specto isn't updated for Ubuntu 12.04; it is non-functional (you can't add a watch, and there's no indicator by the clock).
